The departure from the Saint-François marina is at 8:00, you will pass the coast of La Pointe des Châteaux and then arrive at Petite Terre after an hour and 30 minutes of sailing.
After unloading on the beach, you will be offered a 45-minute tour of the island organized by the National Forests Office (ONF), exclusively with the Paradoxe. You will get to appreciate this little piece of heaven’s wildlife and plants, like its famous endemic iguanas. The guide will give you a summary of the island’s history and lighthouse.
You will be served an aperitif consist of local punch and fruit juice when you return from the tour. For those who stayed, note that refreshments will be offered to you all day. This aperitif will be followed by our popular grilled fish barbecue with madras rice. Fresh fruit for dessert.
You can stroll and relax, even have a siesta at your convenience as you are sheltered under the coconut trees. For the more active people, go snorkeling and discover the lagoon’s riches, given the many species of fish and turtles that inhabit it. You can also simply go for a swim in the crystal-clear water to enjoy the lagoon’s splendid setting.
The Paradoxe will be back at Saint-François for 17:30 after a calm crossing in the wind under a spinnaker. Rum lovers will be invited to the back of the boat to taste a flavored rum with passion fruits (maracuja), guavas, coconuts, and other tropical fruits, all with local music, while the passengers looking for peace and quiet will be laid on nets at the front of the boat. The luckiest passengers will get to see the dolphins which sometimes get involved in the unique atmosphere of this return trip at dusk.
