Your guide, Marc, will come and pick you up on a minibus from Saint-François, Sainte-Anne, Gosier, or Baie-Mahault to take you to discover Guadeloupe’s volcano: La Soufrière. This hike is for aware alert people.

It is a 2- to 4- hour walk with a 500-meter climb on the sides of the volcano. You will take breaks to get a bit of energy back with kassavs, as well as a sandwich at midday, and water. It is quite pleasant to climb the side of the volcano early in the morning.

At the top, the smell of sulfur is impressive, as are yellow sulfur fumaroles. The breathtaking view of the sea and surrounding islands are a treat for the eyes. The raw nature is wonderful and in all of its splendor. The crater is exciting and very informative.
