Baptism and exploration dive – Cousteau Reserve

The team at the Centre des Ilets welcome you all year long with their feet in the water of the Malendure beach and a breathtaking view of the ilets Pigeon: diving baptisms (from the age of 8) and exploration dives for all levels.

Activity details

Jaco Nadal, Isabelle, and their crew welcome you to share their passion with you in this key spot in Guadeloupe. The crystalline water, the corals and tropical fish, and the temperature of the water (28 degrees) make the Cousteau Reserve a favored location for discovery (baptisms or snorkeling) or exploring at all levels, under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Baptism

You will discover the sensations of an underwater dive with a certified instructor who will adjust your equipment and dive with you. You will be able to take full advantage of these 20 minutes in this new world just a few meters underwater. You will discover the wonders of the îlets pigeon in the heart of the Cousteau Reserve without having to worry about the technical aspects of diving. Everything is under control, so enjoy it!

Exploration dive - Îlets Pigeon

You will be able to dive up to 60 meters underwater in the îlets pigeon. Several locations are usually offered to divers, like the "Pointe barracuda," the "tombant aux carangues," the "piscine," the "aquarium," or even the "jardin de corail". You will discover corals and sea fans there, as well as countless tropical fish, and you will most likely come face-to-face with a turtle. A lowered price is planned for autonomous and equipped divers, but you can also get packages with equipment and/or supervision included.

6-dive package - Îlets Pigeon

The packages are for certified divers, equipped divers, and self-guided or autonomous and equipped divers (at least 2 people). The price for 6 dives in the Cousteau Reserve goes from 150€ to 200€. You can already choose the days and times that you want to dive, but you will also be able to change those dates and times during your first visit if the members of the club are fine with it.

Additional information

• Restrictions depending on age, health advice, qualifications, license… if you are in good health and don’t have any particular problems, then you are able!
• The dive is for anyone aged 7 / 8 or over with special equipment suited to their age.
• 3 departures per day: 10:00, 13:00, and 15:00 all year round
• The boat stays in the same location for an hour and 30 minutes to allow you to take advantage of the spot by snorkeling or going on an exploration or discovery dive (a baptism is 20 minutes underwater, 1 instructor per person)
