The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin with Jean-Luc – Nature, lagoon & togetherness
The experience
Nature, lagoon & good cheer: welcome aboard!
We meet outside the Guadeloupe Aquarium at Le Gosier marina at 8am, with a warm welcome as soon as you come on board. Sail to the harbour and then on to the Rivière Salée, exploring the mangrove swamp with Jean-Luc’s enthusiastic commentary.
- Petite Biche Islet – Aperitif & Creole meal on board
After exploring the mangrove forest, Jean-Luc takes you snorkelling early in the morning at Petite Biche to observe the fish nursery nestled at the foot of the red mangroves – a rare and much-appreciated experience. The relaxation continues with an aperitif with your feet in the water: ti-punch, planteur, local juices, fish rillettes, melon… Followed by a home-cooked Creole meal prepared by Tatie Francette, served whilst you’re comfortably seated on the boat: vegetable quiche, raw vegetables, chicken colombo, rice, fruit salad, drinks and coffee.
Snorkelling – Coral reef & small shipwreck
Head for the coral reef for a guided snorkelling session amongst tropical fish, starfish and seagrass beds. Then explore a shipwreck that’s accessible to everyone, in complete safety.
- Caret Islet – Swimming & relaxation break
After lunch, dive into crystal-clear waters with the snorkelling equipment provided to explore a wreck teeming with coral fish and starfish. For beginner swimmers, flotation aids are available, ensuring everyone has a lovely time.
Relaxation and celebration in paradise
Arrival at the legendary Îlet Caret: swimming, photos, turquoise water and a light local snack in a dreamlike setting.
