The experience

The Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin with Adams is an excursion combining nature and adventure through the mangrove swamp and its islets of fine sand. Whether you set off from Saint-François, Sainte-Anne or Gosier, this day out will delight young and old alike in the comfort of a traditional Guadeloupean boat fitted out for tourist excursions.

The captain will then head into the Rivière Salée, an inlet separating the Basse from the Grande Terre. During this crossing, you’ll sail very calmly whilst your guide provides you with a wealth of information about the local flora and fauna. But wait, that’s not all – as everyone knows, being out at sea works up an appetite! So a light breakfast will be served as you cruise along. Juice, coffee, water, fresh fruit and biscuits are on the menu. Once you arrive at the large cove, you’ll be offered a snorkelling stop at the coral reef and then the shipwreck – veritable open-air aquariums! There’ll be a stop (without mooring) at Caret Islet so you can take photos or go for a swim; however, the islet itself won’t be accessible. Around midday, we’ll head for La Biche Islet. For lunch, the captain will serve a cold platter of fish rillettes, a selection of appetisers, fruit and homemade tabbouleh with fish tartare, chicken bites, a few local root vegetables (yam, cassava) and, to finish, a coconut flan for dessert. Planteur, red and rosé wine, as well as soft drinks (water, juice) are included. In the early afternoon, you’ll leave Îlet La Biche and head back to Saint-François. Your captain will take the time to show you around Gosier Islet with one final stop for a swim. Depending on sea conditions, you’ll be back in Saint-François between 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm.
