Half-day guided tour of Grande Terre

Are you short on time to explore the island? Setting off from Sainte-Anne, Saint-François or Le Moule, spend a few hours visiting Pointe des Châteaux, a rum distillery and a craft market. Your local guide, with her warm and cheerful nature, will be delighted to collect you from your accommodation. On this half-day excursion to explore Grande Terre, your guide – a native of Guadeloupe and a leading figure in the region and local tourism – is the perfect person for the job! On the programme: visits to points of interest, anecdotes, encounters with locals and a great atmosphere. Departing from Saint-François, Sainte-Anne or Le Moule, you’ll begin your sightseeing tour between 12.30 pm and 1.00 pm from your holiday accommodation. Pointe des Châteaux will be your first stop: there, you’ll enjoy the magnificent view from the cross overlooking this major Guadeloupean tourist attraction. Next, head to the town of Le Moule to visit the Damoiseau Distillery, Guadeloupe’s leading producer of agricultural rums, where a tour and rum tasting are on the programme. Via the Route des Grands Fonds, you’ll then head to Sainte-Anne to stroll through the village and, if you wish, visit either the craft market or the fruit and vegetable market situated right next to the town beach. In both cases, you’ll be able to admire the turquoise blue waters of Sainte-Anne Bay, one of Guadeloupe’s wonders! This stopover offers the chance to combine exploring local crafts and souvenir shops with the beach atmosphere, complete with its seaside bars and restaurants. A lovely way to round off a morning full of urban and rural discoveries. It will then be time to head back to the departure point, just in time for your well-deserved lunch! Return to the starting point by 6.00 pm at the latest. The tour is open to everyone, with a minimum of 4 people; private tours are available for groups of 6 or more.
