4x4 (Land Rover) Exploration Day

Set off in the legendary Land Rover for a day of exploration at the heart of Guadeloupe’s natural beauty and culture. Tropical rainforest, rivers with water at 39°, swimming under waterfalls, natural hot springs, idyllic beaches, a volcano, a National Park, plantations, rum distilleries… This is where the adventure begins!

A Land Rover Defender 4x4 will collect you from your accommodation and take you on a journey to discover the authentic side of Guadeloupe. Magnificent rivers and waterfalls in the heart of the tropical forest await you! The flora and fauna, the plantations, the Creole gardens, the idyllic lagoons, the dream beaches, the National Park, the volcanic massif and the rum distilleries are the jewels of the ‘Island of Beautiful Waters’. Let’s set off for a day of true discovery!

Land Rover Excursion – Grande Terre&&

Your nature guide will collect you from your accommodation from 7.30 am. Between sky and sea, you’ll discover a succession of limestone plains, lush green valleys and sugarcane fields. You’ll visit the world-renowned Damoiseau distillery, a major tourist attraction. A tasting is a must! At midday, lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Travelling by Jeep all day, you’ll experience the wild coastal landscapes up close. You’ll then head towards Anse-Bretrand in northern Grande-Terre to visit Pointe de la Grande Vigie. Here, you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the sea and the immense cliffs, reminiscent of those in Normandy. With such an unusual and striking landscape, photo stops are a must. Finally, stop by the coconut palms and fine sand for a swim on a dream beach. A wonderful day full of variety

Land Rover Excursion – North Basse-Terre&&

Setting off from your hotel, embark on a 4x4 adventure to discover the small, traditional fishing villages typical of the area. You’ll look out over one of Guadeloupe’s most magnificent beaches: get your cameras out – the view is breathtaking! A Creole meal with tropical flavours will be served at Pointe-Noire. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the waterfalls of the National Park with their turquoise waters and travel through the National Park to discover the lush tropical rainforest, much to your delight. At the end of the tour, you’ll admire the small Creole gardens, sample seasonal fruit and meet local farmers face to face. Return at 4.30 pm to the starting point, your head filled with colours and dreams.

Land Rover Excursion – Southern Basse-Terre&&

Setting off from your holiday accommodation at 7.30 am, you’ll board one of our Land Rovers for a tour into the heart of volcanic Guadeloupe. In the heart of nature, you’ll discover the island’s exotic plantations, such as banana and pineapple plantations. You’ll stop for a break at the foot of the La Soufrière Volcano. During the hottest part of the day, you’ll enjoy a meal by the sea overlooking the Îles des Saintes in a restaurant serving an excellent Creole meal. Your nature guides are best placed to describe this lush and rich Guadeloupe to you throughout the day. You’ll bathe in hot tubs with water at 39° and admire the rivers and waterfalls—as beautiful as they are spectacular—nestled in the heart of the tropical forest. You’ll also have the chance to visit the Longueteau distillery (except on Sundays). The return journey is scheduled for 4.30 pm. A wonderful day full of discoveries.

• South Basse-Terre: Creole chicken or ginger chicken
• Grande-Terre: Works with two restaurants. Meals are served subject to the restaurants’ opening times. If at “Le Cocotier”: choice from the menu. If at “Rhumerie du Pirate”: chicken colombo or fish.
