Meet at the jetty at the Gosier marina harbour master’s office, where Marvyn will welcome you and go through the itinerary and safety instructions. The boat will then set course for the Rivière Salée: as you glide between the mangroves, your guide will explain the vital role of the mangroves and help you spot birds and crustaceans. You’ll then reach the shores of Caret Islet: its calm, shallow waters are ideal for a peaceful swim; enjoy the natural setting and the turquoise sea. Next, head for the semi-submerged wreck: grab your mask and snorkel for a fascinating snorkelling experience, amidst schools of tropical fish and the reefs that have formed around the hull. The return to Gosier Marina takes place late in the morning, following this condensed immersion in the wonders of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin.
