L'expérience

Set off to explore the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin and its wonders in the company of Captain Ti Bouboul and his 11-metre catamaran. The itinerary includes a visit to the islets of Caret and Fajou, snorkelling near the coral reef and a hearty meal, all in the utmost comfort and a friendly atmosphere.

The catamaran’s captain will be waiting for you at the Bas-du-Fort Marina in Le Gosier at 7.20 am. Charly, your captain (Ti Bouboul to his friends), is a true sea dog who knows the best spots in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin for a fantastic day out. Always in good spirits, he and his crew will ensure your trip goes as smoothly as possible. At 7.30 am, we set off. The 11-metre catamaran leaves the marina heading for the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin. The day’s programme includes a trip through the mangrove swamp, offering the chance to discover a wilder side of Guadeloupe. The first stop on the excursion is at a spot known as ‘La Piscine’, on the edge of the coral reef, for a short snorkelling session. It’s a magical spot with crystal-clear water, offering excellent views of the aquatic flora and fauna. Once you’ve fully enjoyed this underwater exploration, Charly will take you to the other must-see spot in Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin: Îlet Caret. Whilst it used to be a veritable little paradise lost in the middle of the turquoise sea, with its coconut grove visible from afar, nature is now reclaiming its rights and the vegetation has all but disappeared. The pre-dinner drinks with your feet in the water, organised by Captain Ti Bouboul and his crew on this islet, are therefore a great opportunity to visit this iconic landmark of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin and Guadeloupe one last time before it disappears for good. We then head to Fajou Islet for the rest of the day – the largest islet in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin. With lush flora and fauna spread over nearly 115 hectares, it is a place that enjoys significant protection and fairly restricted access. With the crew of the Ti Bouboul, you’ll have the chance to explore the seabed in the bay around this islet. A second aperitif awaits you before the meal, lovingly prepared and served on board the boat. At around 2.40 pm, we’ll return to Gosier Marina. But before we set off, we’ll enjoy a final snack of local fruit to ensure the return journey is just as pleasant as the outward one. You’ll arrive at the marina at around 4 pm
