Mangrove and Coral Kayaking in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin – Full Day

Kayaking trip to the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin with a team boasting over 20 years’ experience in kayaking excursions in Guadeloupe. On the programme: a journey into the heart of the mangrove forest, paddling past the islets and snorkelling on the coral reef.

The trip departs at 8.30 am from the Morne Rouge fishing harbour, near Sainte Rose. After a short briefing on the trip, we’ll board the kayaks and set off on an adventure that promises some wonderful surprises. This trip will take you on a journey of discovery through the marine life of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin and the mangrove forest. You’ll start by paddling through the shallows to observe sea urchins, starfish and sea cucumbers, all of which will be clearly visible from your kayak. Then we’ll head for the coral reef near La Biche islet to take a dip and get a closer look at the coral reef’s underwater life. We’ll put on our masks and snorkels, and set off for a snorkelling session to observe the reef’s inhabitants. You’ll then disembark on La Biche islet for a snack and a meal featuring local dishes. Next, you’ll head through the mangrove forest, which you’ll navigate on your return journey to Morne Rouge, with arrival scheduled for 4 pm.
