L'expérience

A full-day excursion that will introduce you to the must-see sights of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, with a comprehensive itinerary. As well as visiting Îlet La Biche and stopping off at Îlet Caret for a swim and some snorkelling, you’ll explore the mangrove forest for an unforgettable experience. You’ll be in the company of Stéphane and Lydie, who are passionate about the sea and the ideal guides to show you all the beauty of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin.

Glide gently ashore near Robinson Islet! We’re talking, of course, about the legendary sandbank at Îlet Caret, the first stop on your day trip. Setting off at 7.30 am from Baie-Mahault, you’ll have the chance to be amongst the first lucky few to arrive off the coast of this deserted islet, which has sprung up in the middle of nowhere. There, you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking 360° views of the mountains of Basse-Terre! You’ll then head for the shipwreck to go snorkelling. Lying just a few centimetres below the water’s surface, it’s a unique diving spot: a veritable giant aquarium! And with the other diving stop at the coral reef, you’ll have the chance to explore magnificent living corals, along with a multitude of tropical fish and other marine species living in perfect harmony – a truly colourful spectacle! The rest of the programme takes place at La Biche islet, where you’ll enjoy an aperitif on floating wooden bars, as well as a delicious meal prepared by the crew and served with care, either with your feet in the water or on board the boat. All in an idyllic setting…! In the afternoon, it’s time to relax and swim in the splendid natural pools, where you’ll enjoy swimming amongst the mangrove roots. You’ll even spot stingrays, lobsters, boxfish and damselfish. Around 2 pm, it’ll be time to weigh anchor and head for the mangroves, where you can watch seabirds and take in the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings.
