Une superbe balade super bien organisée dans un bateau super confortable, avec une nuée de dauphins comme clou du spectacle. 6 étoiles sur 5 au moins !
The experience
Departures from Pointe-Noire (Baillargent fishing harbour) at 8.00 am and 12.30 pm (duration: between 3 and 4 hours).
Out at sea, you’ll have the chance to spot around twenty species of resident cetaceans, including dolphins, sperm whales and pilot whales, which inhabit the biologically diverse waters around Guadeloupe. From December to May, you’ll also have the chance to spot the majestic humpback whales that come every year to the warm waters of Guadeloupe to give birth and raise their calves before their long journey to the poles. Comfortably seated on board a fast, intimate boat, equipped with powerful engines and a bimini top for shade, you’ll be immersed in a unique experience. Using the on-board hydrophone, your captain will locate the cetaceans and allow you to observe them in accordance with current regulations, particularly the minimum approach distances designed to preserve their peace and quiet. On board, your captain will share fascinating information about the cetaceans you encounter, explaining the behaviour and distinctive characteristics of each species. Chilled drinks are available to make this experience even more enjoyable, so let yourself be swept away by the thrill of this encounter with the giants of the sea. Every trip is a new adventure for you as well as for us; whilst some things are there to be seen, others are there to be experienced! However, it’s important to bear in mind that whale and dolphin watching remains an unpredictable experience. Although certain species, such as dolphins and sperm whales, are present all year round in Guadeloupe, no two trips are ever the same. As wild marine mammals, cetaceans live in their natural habitat and are free to choose whether or not to show themselves. Their behaviour is therefore unpredictable, and it is up to them to decide whether they want to interact with us or not.
