Sports trimaran – Introductory session or trip to Marie-Galante
The experience
Introduction to competitive sailing or a trip to Marie-Galante on a fast racing trimaran. An opportunity to learn competitive sailing with a professional skipper. Relax and experience the thrill of gliding and speed at sea.
The boat is waiting for you at the Saint-François marina. You’ll enjoy a few hours’ introduction to competitive sailing and boat manoeuvres. It could also simply be a leisurely cruise with opportunities for a swim. You’ll be under the supervision of an experienced sailor who has competed in numerous transatlantic races, including the famous Route du Rhum.
This skipper has an intimate knowledge of the seas around Guadeloupe. Your skipper has put together a comprehensive programme for this trip. Right from the start, you can join him on deck to learn the basics of recreational sailing.
You can also simply soak up the excitement and atmosphere of a sailing race, or experience the thrill of gliding across the sea at high speed. And at the same time, you’ll enjoy Guadeloupe’s coastal scenery, travelling from the Saint-François lagoon to the pleasant surroundings of Marie-Galante’s west coast. At the end of the outward journey, you’ll moor at the ‘grande galette’ near Saint-Louis. You can dive straight into the crystal-clear waters of the bay, or head a little further towards Anse Canot beach for your first swim or a relaxing break. A tour of the town of Saint-Louis (on request) can be arranged to take home some wonderful memories. Lunch is served at the restaurant (with your feet in the sand). Afterwards, you’ll resume your leisure activities, whether it’s a stroll or an introductory sailing session. This adventure comes to an end upon your return to the Saint-François marina at 5.30 pm.
