Joel, a former ranger on the Petite Terre reserve, welcomes you aboard his boat – fresh from the shipyard – together with his son. You’ll have the chance to be guided by someone who knows the flora and fauna of Petite Terre better than anyone else. He’ll be delighted to share all his knowledge and, together with Miguel, will ensure you have a perfect day, whilst respecting the nature reserve he has always been committed to preserving.
Joel will be waiting for you at 7.00 am for a scheduled departure at 7.15 am. It takes between 40 and 50 minutes to reach the shores of the Petite Terre Nature Reserve. There’ll be a briefing on the day’s itinerary, followed by disembarkation and the start of your activities on the island. Joel will accompany you on a tour lasting around 40 minutes to the Petite Terre lighthouse and its museum. There’s no one better than a former reserve ranger to tell you all about these magical places and reveal their secrets! You’ll then have plenty of time to explore the Petite Terre lagoon in search of turtles, lemon sharks, rays and tropical fish. A pre-lunch drink will be served at around 11.30 am on board the boat. This will be just before you tuck into a meal of fresh, home-cooked produce, featuring grilled fish or chicken with rice as the main course, with fruit juice and rosé wine included. The afternoon will be spent observing the local flora and fauna or simply relaxing on the superb beach bordering the lagoon. Boarding is scheduled for around 3.30 pm. Return to Saint-François at 4.30 pm.

Bonsoir . J'espère que vous êtes bien arrivés à bon port à la Désirade. Nous avons passé une excellente journée en votre compagnie, un peu courte ,mais riche en relation humaine. Pas question de moderniser les lieux et les moyens d'y accéder. Continuons plutôt la politique d'humanisation telle que j'ai pu le voir aujourd'hui. Au plaisir... Patrick
Merci Joël Giovanni et à tous les acteurs pour nous avoir permis de passer cette super journée a petite terre... Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, la faune terrestre et sous marine nous ont transportés toute la journée. On pourrait croire que ça peut justifier le plaisir continu ressenti, mais ça serait omettre les explications continues de l'ancien garde de ce temple, l'accueil avec ses collations et son repas. Nous avons été touchés par ces attentions servies avec humour et joie, cette préoccupation continue de notre bien être au travers de yeux bleus qui font concurrence à cette île dont certains disent qu'elle est la plus belle
Un mot concernant l'excursion : une expérience mémorable à vivre au moins une fois. La rencontre avec les Tortues est incroyable, on a l'impression quelles dansent autour de nous? c'est fabuleux. Sans oublier les Iguanes et les requins jaunes que l'on voit à profusion. Plusieurs mots concernant notre capitaine Joël : Un vrai passionné de son île et de la faune et flore, il nous a emmené en voyage aussi bien sensoriellement que gustativement. Drole, sympa, disponible, attentionné, rassurant, il a prit soin de nous tout le long de la journée ainsi que Giovani son co-équipié.
