The experience

A half-day eco-cruise-style excursion on a glass-bottomed boat, complete with fins, mask and snorkel, for groups of more than 25 people. Supervised by a diving instructor and a biologist guide. Explore the mangroves, lagoon and coral reef.

We offer two boats that can safely accommodate between 25 and 50 people. The first boat has a glass-bottomed hull, allowing you to enjoy unobstructed views of the rich marine life in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin and its coral reef at all times. The second boat is available for group bookings requiring more space.

Itinerary: Mangrove and coral reef tour on a glass-bottomed boat (morning or sunset option): Departure at 9.00 am (duration 2 hours 30 minutes) including a visit to the mangroves, Île aux Oiseaux and Îlet Rousseau. Exploration of the coral reef (diving equipment not provided) or swimming. Or mangrove tour with sunset: Departure at 4.00 pm (duration 2 hours) including a visit to Île aux Oiseaux and a trip up the Canal des Rotours. Arrival of the seabirds and sunset at Îlet Rousseau.

Typical half-day itinerary:

  1. 08:45
A tour of the mangrove forest, including Bird Island and Rousseau Islet, on a glass-bottomed boat.
  2. 15:45
Exploring the coral reef (diving equipment not provided) or swimming
