The experience

A half-day of relaxation with a traditional Caribbean meal in the Grand-Cul-de-Sac-Marin Nature Reserve. Marie Laure and her team of enthusiastic guides will take you to Ilet Caret and the mangrove swamp for a day of discovery and good cheer. Swimming on the Great Barrier Reef and around the shipwreck.

Meet at the Sainte-Rose fishing harbour, near the water sports centre, at 8.45 am or 12.45 pm, depending on your choice. Departures at 9.00 am and 1.00 pm for 4 hours of fun. Your itinerary: explore the shipwreck in search of its former occupants, exotic multicoloured fish, starfish and shells. Then, head to the Great Barrier Reef for another swim or a spot of snorkelling.

A snack stop (sweet or savoury depending on the time) and drinks (punch, planteur, water, juice) at Ilet Caret, right by the water’s edge. On the way back, we’ll head for Ilet aux Oiseaux. Return to Sainte Rose harbour at 1 pm or 5 pm, depending on the package chosen.

Je recommande ! La demi-journée est suffisante. Le capitaine Steven est très gentil. On a appris beaucoup de choses sur les mangroves, la faune et la flore. Les spots de plongée sont à couper le souffle!
