The experience
Come and discover the secrets of the reef at the heart of the Marine National Park, the Pigeon Islets (Cousteau Reserve). If you can’t swim or aren’t comfortable snorkelling, rest assured that a guide will be right by your side to put your mind at ease. As members of the Guadeloupe Sea Turtle Protection Network, we’ll teach you how to approach them without disturbing them.
Meet at the centre at 8.30 am or 1.00 pm. Wetsuit (short or long-sleeved, your choice) to protect against the sun and stinging organisms. High-quality fins, mask and snorkel, disinfected in accordance with standards that respect the marine environment. 9.00 am or 1.30 pm: departure by boat (10 mins) to the Ilets Pigeon (formerly the Cousteau Reserve). A 1½-hour surface snorkelling session with the guide alongside you in the water, explaining what you see: multicoloured fish, corals, gorgonians… reef life. A 5-minute boat ride, followed by another 45-minute surface swim, again with the guide by your side in the water, helping you spot green turtles whilst adhering to the guidelines recommended by thethe ONCFS and the Guadeloupe Sea Turtle Protection Network. Return around 11.30 am or 4 pm, enjoying an aperitif on board.
Typical itinerary for the day:
- 08:30 or 13:00$$Join us for a 3-hour outing in a small group, during which your guide will accompany you in the water to ensure you don’t miss out on all the wonders of the Cousteau Reserve. Turtle spotting included!

Fabiola
