Jimmy, a fisherman from Petite Terre, welcomes you aboard his brand-new boat for an authentic day out. Jimmy knows the area inside out and will share with you the best of Petite Terre’s catch. Jimmy is the calm, steady presence you need for a carefree day on Petite Terre. Alain, a former Petite Terre ranger and professional skipper, will also take over from Jimmy on this well-established tour.
Jimmy will be waiting for you at 7.00 am for a scheduled departure at 7.15 am. It takes between 40 and 50 minutes to reach the shores of the Petite Terre nature reserve. Once in the lagoon, what could be better than watching a few turtles come up out of the water to breathe? Next comes a briefing on the day’s itinerary, followed by disembarkation and the start of your activities on the island. You can explore the island along the marked trail leading to the lighthouse (the oldest in Guadeloupe), where a small museum awaits you. Signs along the way will point out points of interest relating to the local flora and fauna. There are also information boards on the history of Petite Terre near the lighthouse. You should be able to complete this short walk in under an hour, during which you’ll spot the countless iguanas that inhabit the island. You’ll then have plenty of time left to explore the Petite Terre lagoon in search of turtles, lemon sharks, rays and tropical fish. A pre-lunch drink will be served at around 11.30 am on board the boat, just before you tuck into a meal featuring Jimmy’s fresh produce and his famous marinated fish ceviche. The main course of this Désirade-style meal will be roast chicken, rice and vegetables. Fruit juice, Coca-Cola and rum are included. The afternoon will be spent observing the local flora and fauna or simply relaxing on the superb beach bordering the lagoon. Boarding is scheduled for around 3.15 pm, with a return to Saint-François at around 4.00 pm.

Nous sommes ravies de notre sortie avec Jimmy et Alain. L’excursion était très bien encadrée et le plus important, dans le respect de l’environnement dans lequel nous nous trouvions. Nous avons pu observer des raies, des requins juvéniles (et pas que), beaucoup de tortues ! La partie bateau en speed boat était aussi très sympa. Nous recommandons cette excursion avec ce prestataire Merci pour tout !
Une excursion absolument magnifique à Petite-Terre ! Nous avons passé une journée exceptionnelle avec Jimmy et Alain, qui sont vraiment adorables, super accueillants et très sympathiques. Tout était réuni pour passer un moment inoubliable. Le repas servi à bord était excellent, avec de très belles quantités. Un vrai régal ! Nous avons également eu la chance de visiter l’île, notamment le phare, avec toutes les explications et anecdotes sur son histoire. C’était vraiment très intéressant et enrichissant, d’autant plus que nous avons eu de nombreuses explications tout au long de la visite. Nous avons également pu voir énormément d’iguanes, c’était vraiment impressionnant ! Nous avons eu cette incroyable sensation d’être seuls au monde, au milieu d’un cadre paradisiaque. Et cerise sur le gâteau : nous avons pu observer les tortues et profiter pleinement de la beauté de Petite-Terre. Un immense merci à Jimmy et Alain pour leur gentillesse, leur accueil et cette magnifique journée. Une excursion que nous recommandons les yeux fermés et que nous garderons longtemps en souvenir !
C’était exceptionnel, Jimmy et Alain sont super sympa et plein de connaissances. On y voit de superbes tortues, raies, des requin citrons et énormément d’iguanes.
