Petite-Terre excursion with a Creole atmosphere – Full day

This excursion, led by a young skipper from Sainte-Rose, will allow you to escape for a day to the magnificent island of Petite-Terre. There you’ll discover a little corner of paradise with an astonishing ecosystem. There’s something for everyone on the itinerary: a tour of the island, relaxing, swimming, and observing the endemic flora and fauna of Petite Terre.

After the relatively short crossing, you’ll disembark on the beautiful beaches of Petite Terre. The rest of the programme depends on what you fancy. You can join Faider for a guided tour of the island, which will take you to the lighthouse – the oldest in Guadeloupe. Along the way, you’ll discover the flora and fauna for which the island is renowned. You can also make the most of the crystal-clear waters for a quick swim or a spot of snorkelling. And if you can’t make up your mind, it’s perfectly possible to do both. Before the aperitif and lunch, you’ll have the chance to encounter the marine life of Petite Terre, which stands out for its diversity. Turtles, lemon sharks, rays and several species of tropical fish await you in the lagoon. Lunch and aperitifs will be served on the beach.

The menu is as follows: Day trip

• Aperitif: Ti punch, planteur, fruit juice, rosé, water, crisps
• Starter: raw vegetables
• Main course: smoked chicken and grilled ouassous
• Dessert: coconut flan

After the meal, you’ll have free time until it’s time to leave the island. Relax, enjoy one last swim or explore the local flora and fauna – the choice is yours. The programme for the half-day excursion is much the same as that for the first half of the full-day excursion, namely swimming, snorkelling and a guided tour of the island, plus a light snack before setting off back to St-François marina. On the return crossing, you may spot a few turtles and dolphins before arriving back at the marina at around 4.15 pm.
