A Creole excursion to Marie-Galante with a guided tour by minibus

Féder will be waiting for you at 7.00 am at the Saint-François marina for a 7.30 am departure. His powerful speedboat takes just around 45 minutes to reach Marie-Galante, without compromising on comfort in the slightest. Your destination will be the charming town of Saint-Louis, where life flows gently to the rhythm of the waves. There, a 12-seater minibus will be waiting to take you to some exceptional sites just waiting for you to explore them. You’ll head to the Habitation Murat to discover a heritage site that plays an important role in the history of Marie-Galante. You’ll also stop off at the distillery (usually Bellevue) to learn more about how this renowned rum is made, and even sample some of their finest products. Don’t forget the villages and their colourful markets, as well as the unmissable Gueule Grand Gouffre: a true wonder of nature. Next, head to the magnificent St-Louis beach for an aperitif and lunch. You’ll arrive there around 12.45 pm, the perfect time of day to enjoy a refreshing aperitif and feast on delicious dishes.

• Rum, Planteurs, rosé wine, soft drinks, local fruit juices
• Pâtés, fish rillettes.

Meal:

• Starter: yellow banana salad and Caribbean-style cod shavings.
• Either a fish barbecue: sea bream or marlin

• Dessert: coconut flan

Once you’ve enjoyed this delicious meal, you’ll be free to make the most of Anse Canot beach. So you can go for a swim or simply relax before setting off for Saint-François at 3.45 pm.
