Shuttle bus, guided tour and a meal at a restaurant in the Baie des Saintes

The guide will drop you off for a visit to Fort Napoléon (admission €7), followed by a guided tour of the island by minibus. This will be followed by lunch in a waterside restaurant overlooking the bay. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time: you can simply go for a swim or stroll through the pretty, well-known shops in the village. Whether with friends or family, everyone can choose their own activities and enjoy the best day ever. Listed by UNESCO, Baie des Saintes is one of Guadeloupe’s top tourist destinations. From Saint-François, you’ll reach Terre-de-Haut in 1 hour 30 minutes (with a stopover of a few minutes at Marie-Galante), or in just 15 to 20 minutes from Trois-Rivières (several times a day). On arrival at the Terre-de-Haut landing stage, your guide will meet you in the main square in front of the Tourist Office. You will join the group of 8 or 9 people at the meeting time given by your guide. They will then take you up to the hills above Terre-de-Haut to the ‘Fort Napoléon’ museum (admission not included, €7), where you’ll be immersed in the history of Les Saintes and Guadeloupe. Allow about 1 hour for the visit and to enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay from the fort’s gardens. This will be followed by a 1-hour tour through the village’s narrow streets and along the seafront, with your guide sharing anecdotes and the island’s customs and traditions. Around midday, the restaurant will welcome you for an aperitif consisting of a fruit juice or planteur cocktail accompanied by a few accras, followed by a delicious fish dish (with an exotic sauce) served with rice and fresh vegetables, and then a homemade ice cream or coconut flan to round off this exquisite meal (drinks not included). After the meal, the choice is yours: relax on the beach, go for a swim, or explore the village (its church, its shops, etc.). You’ll then head to the nearby jetty for the return journey to your port of departure, feeling that you’ve made the most of this exceptional place.
