La Désirade: a must-visit destination in Guadeloupe
The day begins at 7.30 am at the Saint-François ferry terminal. A minibus tour lasting about an hour gives you the chance to explore the village, meet its residents and take in the picturesque scenery. Participants then board a boat to Souffleur beach, where Nicard, a local fisherman from Saint-François, welcomes visitors with refreshments.
A wide range of activities
Before midday, it’s time for kayaking, snorkelling, angling and trap fishing (weather permitting). The barbecue lunch showcases local specialities: accras, unlimited drinks, salads, fish tart, grilled fish, banana gratin, Madras rice and caramelised bananas. The afternoon continues with swimming and water sports, followed by a coconut sorbet and an introduction to the Ka drum with Nicard. Return to Saint-François at 4.00 pm. Minimum number of participants: 8.
