Details of activities in Terre de Haut
One of the most beautiful bays in the world, Les Saintes – a true ‘tourment d’amour’! (a local sweet speciality). Just like the sites at Bouillante, ‘Le Sec Pâté’ in Les Saintes – whose base lies at a depth of 300 metres, rising to the surface at around 15 metres – is one of the best diving spots in the Caribbean. As such, there are plenty of scuba diving clubs waiting to welcome you. On the water, other water sports will delight you, such as: water skiing, jet skiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing trips or excursions in transparent canoes and kayaks to go in search of dolphins and whales… On land, hiking is very popular. It offers the chance to take in the exceptional panoramic views. For the more adventurous, a climbing club will allow you to admire these unique landscapes in a more active way! Overlooking the bay, a visit to Fort Napoléon is a must. Now converted into a museum, you’ll relive the Franco-British naval battles and discover all the traditions of the Guadeloupe archipelago.
