Saint-Claude
Saint-Claude, the ‘volcano town’ situated at the foot of the volcano on the high ground of the island of Basse-Terre, is one of the coolest places on the island. Its vegetation is particularly lush and its gardens magnificent, thanks to the thick clouds that cling to the Soufrière volcano.
