Petite-Terre with a fisherman from Désirade

This excursion offers you a relaxing day out in the magnificent setting of Petite-Terre. Accompanied by a fisherman from La Désirade – an excellent skipper who knows Petite-Terre like the back of his hand – a full programme of activities awaits you. You’ll visit Guadeloupe’s oldest lighthouse, go for a swim, snorkel in the lagoon and enjoy a traditional Caribbean meal: a fantastic day in store!

Your trip begins at the Saint-François marina, where Adams and his 12-seater boat will be waiting for you. We’ll set off at 7.30 am and, thanks to the boat’s 300cv engine and your guide’s excellent sailing skills, it takes just 45 minutes to reach Petite-Terre. You’ll stop off at Terre de Bas for a short walk with your skipper along the trails of the only island open to the public. During your mini-hike, you’ll come across the many iguanas for which Petite-Terre is famous. You’ll then continue on to the archipelago’s legendary landmark: the lighthouse, which is the oldest in Guadeloupe… Afterwards, head back out to sea to enjoy the crystal-clear water. Swimming and snorkelling are on the agenda until lunchtime. You’ll be able to discover the richness and beauty of the seabed. Among other things, you’ll come across a multitude of colourful fish, as well as lemon sharks, rays and the unmissable sea turtles. Before the meal, you’ll be treated to an aperitif, followed by lunch served on board. Savour local specialities to the full in the idyllic setting of Petite-Terre.

• Wine and various juices

Once you’ve had your fill, you’ll still have time to enjoy the sea and the beach one last time, before returning to Saint François, scheduled for between 4.15 pm and 4.30 pm.
