For your self-guided trip around the Saintes archipelago, allow 1 hour for the crossing from Pointe-à-Pitre to Terre de Haut. Once on the island, you’ll need to collect your golf cart, scooter or electric bike just a short walk from the landing stage and pay the hire fee.
Start by soaking up the atmosphere of Les Saintes with a short stroll through the town centre, wandering along the various streets lined with shops and houses featuring the region’s typical architecture. Electric golf buggies are small enough to take you anywhere in town, and the same goes for scooters. Then head towards Fort Napoléon. Perched proudly on a hill overlooking the entire bay, this 18th-century military fort houses a museum that traces the archipelago’s history through a fine collection of weapons and various tools. The hill also offers breathtaking views of the harbour, the town centre and the many beaches. Next, discover the island’s most beautiful beaches, starting with the magnificent Pompierre beach, Anse des Galets with its superb view of Cabrit Islet, Anse de Mire with the boat-shaped house right next to it, the superb and unspoilt Crawen cove, and of course Pain de Sucre, from where you can appreciate all the magic of Les Saintes’ seabed.
Heading north along the coast from the village, you’ll arrive at Couleurs du Monde, one of the two restaurants included in this package (to be confirmed when you book). You can’t miss it, thanks to the building’s bright yellow colour. The set menu includes: an aperitif with accras, grilled fish (with an exotic sauce) served with rice and fresh vegetables, followed by ice cream to finish (wines not included). A little further along the coast you’ll find the Kanaoa restaurant, also situated on the shores of the Baie des Saintes. The décor is equally colourful, with a jetty that’s perfect for taking 180° photos of the bay. Aperitif (juice, ti-punch or planteur), fish shell starter, grilled fish or chicken served with vegetables and ‘sauce chien’, and coconut flan to finish (water, a quarter bottle of wine and coffee included). After your meal, you’ll still have a little time to take a stroll or go for a swim in Baie des Saintes.

Compagnie maritime toujours en retard. Il faudrait préciser qu'il y a les douanes à passer nous avons attendu une file d'attente interminable nous sommes arrivés avec + 1h de retard aux Saintes.Pour le retour de même arrivé du bateau aux Saintes 1h de retard et arrivé Pointe à Pitre de nouveau contrôle de douane interminable Quand au restaurant très bien. Location de voiturette pas de souci très bien.
Journée sur les Saintes agréable avec les vélos électriques. Le transport a partir de point a pitre a été laborieux 45 min de retard le matin . 1 h le soir et le passage au douane éprouvant bilan parti des saintes a 19h au lieu de 18. Sorti du débarcadère a 21h30...
