Ferry, transfers and hotel-restaurant meal in the Baie des Saintes – Departure from Pointe-à-Pitre

Set off from Pointe-à-Pitre and board a ferry to Les Saintes in complete safety. Enjoy a comprehensive package including minibus transfers to Fort Napoléon (museum entry +€7), one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, or Anse Mire beach, just a few metres from the panoramic restaurant where you’ll have lunch. Then, go for a swim in one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The village of Terre de Haut and its charming shops are just waiting for you!

Meet at the Bergevin ferry terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre and board the ferry for a 1-hour crossing to the magnificent bay of Les Saintes. On arrival on the island of Terre de Haut in Les Saintes, we’ll arrange for you to meet the driver from the lunch restaurant. You’ll board your minibus from 9.00 am onwards, just past the village chemist’s. The driver will take you to Fort Napoléon to enjoy the view and/or visit the museum (admission €5). There, you’ll discover the history of Les Saintes, its culture and certain aspects of Guadeloupean culture in general. A second transfer will take place an hour later, heading for one of the island’s most beautiful beaches (usually the northern beach, on the bay, unaffected by sargassum) or directly to the restaurant for late arrivals, just a few metres from Anse Mire, where you can also go for a swim. This will be followed by lunch, starting with a local welcome drink in an idyllic setting. You can settle down on the terrace or inside the restaurant, unless you’d prefer to take a quick dip in the bay from the restaurant’s jetty. The meal consists of a local speciality as a starter, served in a fish shell (even the children ask for more), followed by a main course of grilled fish or chicken with a selection of vegetables and raw vegetables. All served with wine and water. For dessert, a delicious coconut flan followed by a coffee, to be enjoyed whilst comfortably seated with a front-row view of the Baie des Saintes. After lunch, you can enjoy the small beach in front of the hotel for a quick nap, take a dip in the bay’s crystal-clear waters, or watch the shoals of tiny fish, as shimmering as the sparkling grey sand found here. You’ll then have a little time left to take one last stroll through the charming little village of Terre de Haut, before boarding the boat again and saying goodbye to this little slice of paradise. Please note that you can take the little path that runs alongside the bay to reach the village (a 10- to 15-minute walk).
